Standing by the projectile’s source of direction was he, claws muddied and face still covered in copper filth. His eyes stared glaringly at her as he stood his ground. It almost looked like he was challenging her to do it again. And so, slowly recovering her smirk, she would comply.
They danced in the mud. Clods of wet earth flew about, tainting the scenery further than the rain had already managed. It was an all out war between the two. No words. Only mud and laughter from the vixen’s part as she watched her muddied friend play along until their fur matched in color. It was as if for a moment everything was alright. His wounds w
