========== WRITTEN TEST ==========

A single streak of blue sky between the dense clouds above Andalusst City marked the start of an unpredictable morning. It seemed as if rain or shine could develop at a whim. The assorted traders and pedestrians mulling about seemed to be a little wary, trying to park their stalls and carts in shaded areas or making efforts to keep their dry produce hidden away.

While the Explorers Guild Hall certainly wasn't exactly the most eye-catching building, it still had a somewhat homely feel to it, even though Mithora and Layron has only just finished registering. The Explorers seemed to have a certain unmistakable aura about them, though one in particular happens to meet their gaze.

A Servine leaning against a nearby wall inclined her narrow snout toward the two recruits giving them a little nod, her bright eyes briefly visible under the shadow of her hat.

"Hey... New, are you?" She asked, speaking with a hint of caution but her tone otherwise welcoming.

The young Fennekin stopped to look at the Servine. The young grass snake was bipedal in her stance, having two somewhat stubby arms and legs. Her scaly body was white in the front with a compliment of green on her back. A yellow crest dominated her chest. Her head ended in a snout, as was to be expected in a snake, and had pointed ears in the back. Her tail ended in a leafy pattern, reflecting her elemental affiliation to grass. “What gave it away? The fact that half the Pokemon here are here for recruitment?” Mithora replied, unphased by the question. It was to be expected, though given recent events it was somewhat of a redundant question.

"Hmm, stupid question.” The Servine replied, viewing her question the same way the Fennekin did. “'Course you are, I saw you sign in. Admittedly, I'm not great with this meet and greet stuff, so how about exchanging names to start things off? You first."

Mithora shook her head and smirked. “I’m Mithora. That’s Layron.” she replied, introducing herself and the Helioptile standing next to her.

“Hodwy do! I love you!” Layron exclaimed, doing a twirl mid-sentence.

Upon receiving this response, the Servine relaxed a little, though she did back a step away from the overeager Helioptile. Folding her small arms across her chest, she replied "Ahh, that's great. Yeah, when you said your name just then, it had that... that "zing". It means you're serious about this, yeah? As for me, my name's Teresa. I'm what you'd call a Guild Assistant, which makes me your Serperior."

“Get out.” Mithora replied, a giggle escaping her.

Teresa giggled a bit herself, sighing happily. “Just so you know, you don’t really have to be polite around me if you don’t want to. I don’t really care about rank and file, but I do care about honesty. If I tell a joke and it sucks, feel free to roll your eyes."

“Teresa, that joke completely sucked and you should be sorry you ever made it.” Mithora replied, giving the Servine a teasing smile.

This time it was Teresa who laughed, finding plenty of humor in Mithora’s comback. "So what brings you here, anyway? You from out of town, or...?"

“Out of region, more like. We’re from another continent.” Mithora replied.

“Really? What say you, Layron?” Teresa asked the little Helioptile, trying to bring him into the conversation.

Layron was a bit distracted, looking at something going on outside, but when Teresa said his name he immediately turned and said “Hello I am a turtle!” before wandering off to the window again.

Mithora sighed. “Don’t mind him.” She assured the Servine. “He’s a little off but he’s a good guy. You just gotta learn to get used to him.”

Teresa nodded, satisfied with the explanation. "Cool, cool…” she began. “well, whatever the case, you've got a name in mind for your group, right? I didn't get a chance to check your papers, but I do want to get more familiar with our rookie members when I have the time. I'm kinda new to this whole assistant thing, honestly."

“Team Freedom.” Mithora answered. “The same name we had in the guild back on our continent.”

“You were in a guild before?” Teresa asked, her curiosity showing.

Mithora’s face was somewhat bright up until that question, but after that she lost her cheerful mood and she had a bit of a difficult time looking right at the Servine. “We’ve… been through a lot…” She replied.

Teresa immediately saw the lack of comfort the Fennekin had on the subject and dropped it. “Well… there's that "zing" again.” She said, trying to change the subject. “Feels good to know we've got Pokémon like you joining our Guild. I guess Cassidy wasn't exaggerating when he said the standouts just keep pouring in. Just don't get cocky - confidence is good, but overconfidence in a dungeon is a quick way to get yourself in trouble, along with everyone else in your party."

“Believe me when I say I understand that, and believe me when I say we have paid no expense in our training to hone our skills, especially when it comes to dungeoneering.

Teresa nodded and tapped the side of her snout. She clicked her tiny fingers when another question entered her mind. "Oh right, this is very important - why did you want to become an Explorer, hm? Just curious..."

Mithora shook her head. “I didn’t exactly come here to join another guild.” Mithora replied. “We’d been flying through that fog for two weeks. Our companion split up from us. We found an opening. We made camp in it. Not much to say after that.” The Fennekin avoided the Servine’s gaze, focusing on some feature in the woodwork. “There was a big fire in the town, and Layron said some giant automaton was trashing the city.” She paused. “Those things… they are monstrous on their own in their forsaken magic dungeons, but if those kinds of things get out onto the surface… Arc forbid…”

Teresa listened patiently to the explanation, more than happy to let the Pokemon go on - traveling through the fog was no easy task, both physically and mentally. As soon as she was sure Mithora was done speaking, she immediatelly said "...Because ultimately, the people come first, yeah?”

    Mithora nodded.

The two were silent for a good minute. “Well…” Teresa said, breaking the silence, “there's lots of food in the dungeons, and materials for clothing and medicine! When we go out and find that stuff, it means everyone here gets to have dinner. I mean, you know that, obviously, but just don't forget!" Mithora gave her a nod of approval, though she seemed to be on edge, almost on the verge of crying in fact. Teresa swayed her leaf-adorned tail from side to side and tapped her foot, momentarily distracted by her own thoughts, a wanting grin plastered across her face. There wasn’t much left to say now. She lifted her snout into the air and cleared her throat. "N-not to sound standoffish, but what exactly do you do, anyway? What skills or talents do you have to offer the Guild? Everyone's good at something, I think."

Mithora took a deep breath and calmed down a little. “Layron’s a master of Dungeoneering and I have extensive experience in combat.”

Even with short an answer as that, before the Fennekin finished properly answering Teresa was clicking her fingers and pursing her lips, as if hearing that mythical ‘zing’ yet again. "I can just feel it, you do what you do and do it with everything you've got. 'Cause in this guild, when a giver gives, then the giver gets... gotten... gets give-- eh, well you get what you give, or something.” She smiled as brightly as she could, her attempt to cheer the Fennekin up clearly falling apart. “Whatever, it's written down on that big plaque in the hall. Just do your best and come see me if you need any help."

Mithora replied with a nod. “Ya, we’ll do that.” She paused before adding “Thanks.”

Sounding much more cheerful than when she first approached, Teresa gave the young Explorer a little wave and turned to immediately engage another group of recruits nearby. Almost the exact same questions were asked of them, Mithora noted - Such a life as hers must be a busy one.

The updated application for Team Freedom is officially out! No information changes for now. I eagerly await the posting of the written accessory customization page!
update: The written accessory customization apps were released, so I went ahead and did those. Layron got a free accessory and Mithora paid the 5 star pieces they had for hers, so that covers that. uwu
update: I was informed that I needed a section in the description detailing what missions and errands the team has been on, their accessory customizations, and all of their star coin transactions. Essentially, I need to link every single thing here. eheh heh. I think I've covered everything - I certainly hope I haven't missed anything. I'm glad she said something, too, cause I think i forgot to update my star coin count on the app

update: I'm fixing all of my information to be up to date with all the things that are currently relevant. Posted my tasks so adding that, plus reorganizing my star coin purchase sheet to account for recent activity for Team Freedom.

I feel my description of the Pokemon itself with Servine was an improvement as well with the writing of the written test. uvu

Mithora Referenceask-team-freedom.tumblr.com/Mi…
Mithora 'Fennekin' Eldendaughter is a strong-hearted Fennekin with a passion for becoming a true warrior. What that means is pretty debatable, but part of it definitely involves protecting the weak and punishing the wicked. At least, that's what she likes to believe. Mithora can be a bit stubborn and easily annoyed, but she shows her soft side to anybody who's kind and patient with her. She trains passionately to reach the point of evolution.

 Layron Referenceask-team-freedom.tumblr.com/La…
Layron 'Helioptile' Originmaster got his name from being a master of Origin technology as far as Stateran knowledge is concerned. He emerged from an Origin Temple at the age of sixteen, with a partially blind right eye and a half-warped mind. He is crazy... there's no doubt about that, but his cheerful attitude and strange logic have a way of intersecting into a kind personality... almost too kind. He also deviates from this by doing stupid, quirky things like give other Pokemon potatoes. Another occasional deviation from his odd personality occurs when his friends get hurt, during which he seems to gain enough sense to either lash out at a bully or give some good advice.
