M7 The Old Ways ch4Chapter 4: Payton
After a long ordeal of running, Amelia forced the party to stop within the shelter of a clearing, having declared that her bearings were completely lost after the previous ordeal. “Can’t believe I left my map at home...” Amelia muttered to herself, thinking of the very useful map which she had bought very recently, right after the Sorbet disaster. “The first chance I get to use it and I don't even bring it with me...”
“Don’t feel bad.” Remington said as he messed around with his Hidden Power, spinning and rolling the energy balls around childishly. “I forget stuff all the time, remember? For example,” He looked over at the Shinx, who was resting on the soft grass. “I do not remember your name." he told the electric type. "What was it, again?”
M7 The Old Ways ch3Where's that Pokemon?
Remington gave his old locating trick several tries as he and Amelia proceeded in the general direction that the Grotle had pointed out earlier. After a dozen or so tries at it, Remington finally gave up and tossed the coinage back into the bag in defeat. “I give. Can’t find any recognizable trace of a Shinx in any of these coins.” Remington declared. “I guess that old trick doesn't work for me anymore.”
Amelia sighed in disappointment. “Don’t worry. It was certainly worth a try.” Remington's old Psychic move, now replaced with his current Hidden Power, was very versatile in that it gave Remington access to basic Psychic energy. He had been able to find a way to employ the move in a way that allowed him to detect someone's life signature on an object and u

“How are we supposed to get through any mara- er, thugs I mean, that we might have to face?” Remington asked Amelia as they passed by the last of the buildings of Tao, marking the end of the village. He glanced at the bag by his side that housed the precious letter that they were supposed to deliver. “We aren't a fighting force of two; We’re supposed to be a fighting force of three. What if we run into a Fire Type? Or a Ground Type? Or...” he gulped in anxiety. “A Fighting Type...?” Amelia suddenly punched Remington in the arm. “Ow! What was that for?” he yelled.
“To get you to shut up!” Amelia said sternly. “We’re not gonna meet any thugs.”
“I seem to recall you
M7 The Old Ways ch1Chapter 1 ~ Mourning
The Mawile awoke with a start, as usual. Amelia's room was unchanged from the night before, when she had been kept up by grief for many hours, sickened with worry at the news that Pyren, as well as practically a third of the village, had suddenly vanished. There was no news as to their possible whereabouts, nor did anyone have any speculation at all as to where all the Pokemon could have disappeared to. It was a great shock to both Amelia and Remington; of the three Pokemon on the team (even though Remington held the position of “official” leader), Pyren was the most capable and most powerful. He was smart, strong, able to speak to others, and most of all, he was the one Pokemon that she and Remington always knew would be by their side.
That wasn't the case now.
M7 - The Old Ways Prologue ”Good morning again, my sweet.”
“You again? What’s this about, Nex?”
“He’s not gonna be back for awhile, you know. Don’t let it be the end of you.”
“Pyren’s just vanished without a trace. Face it. There’s no point in denying it.”
“You know I’m right. Now, I believe you should know that your life is not going to be the same from this point forward. Or, did you already know
The Embers of After As the young man slowly drifted into consciousness, he observed a bright light in front of him. As his eyesight came into focus, he couldn’t help but wonder if his religious faith had rewarded him with the gift of eternal life; but no. His vision finally adjusted itself and he discovered, much to his disappointment, that the light was nothing more than a fixture on the ceiling. Slowly and carefully, he fought through his aches and pains as he grabbed onto the back of a chair and got himself up. Looking around, he saw that he was in some sort of office; there was a desk with papers and office supplies scattered messily over the top (pens and pencils were laying all over the floor, as well), two bookshelves and three filing cabinets lining a wall, two chairs resting against a perpendicular wall, and on the other wall perpendicular to that one was an iron door. Its presence intriguedhim.
M7 past - The Ancient Ways ch3Chapter 3 - Less on fire
The second that they were sure that Shade was taken out, and that she wasn't faking to trick them, Piano and Pyren went into the trees and grabbed some strong vines to tie Shade up with. When she was sufficiently bonded, Pyren tied an extra vine to her hands with which to force her to come along with. Standing Shade on her feet and forcing her to walk along with her, they started on their way towards Monochrome Tower.
"So, Monferno," Devonshire said "you mentioned that you had dealt with Zoroarks before. What did you mean?"
Pyren chuckled and glanced at Shade. "Zoroarks were often parts of large clans and tribes that stole and robbed everything they ever needed to sustain themselves. They did it pretty cleverly, too. Their illusions were so well made, that some thieveries were reported of the Zoroark making an illusion of the sellers th
