~The Molten Menace
By the time Remington and Amelia got to the law firm, Remington had regained most of his strength again. It didn’t take long for Remington and Amelia to find out what the situation was. “Someone needs to take care of that Heatran.” Devonshire explained. “We’re not going to be able to evacuate if the job isn’t done.”
“Well, we’ll see what we can do.” Aquo said, speaking up. “I’m a water type, so I’m sure I can get something done.”
“I’m coming too.” Amelia interjected. Devonshire and Aquo gave her a funny look. “What? Everyone else is risking their lives right now. Why
shouldn’t I?”
Remington tisked and laughed lightly from his seat on the ground next to the tunnel entrance. “Figures you’d want to partake in an adventure like this, but remember that you have no advantages against Heatran. You going up against him would be more like...” Remington stopped himself before he mentioned Sorbet.
Nobody spoke for a moment, but Remington broke the silence. “Well anyway, I, however, am resistant to fire type attacks. Therefore, I’ll accompany Aquo to help take down Heatran.”
“For the last time, Remington!” Amelia yelled. “You have strained yourself far beyond your limits! I refuse to let you do that!”
Remington picked himself up and gave Amelia a look of annoyance. “If you want to try and drag me away from here, you can, but I’m going to do this.” He told her sternly. “And there’s nothing you can do to stop me.”
They stared each other down for a moment, then Amelia sighed. “I really can’t stop you, can I?” she asked. Remington shook his head in answer. “Fine. Just promise me that you won’t try to use Psychic, OK?”
“Can do.” Remington said. He turned to Aquo and asked “Are you ready?” Aquo nodded. “Good. Let’s go for it.” He took the lead into the tunnel with Aquo right behind him.

Remington and Aquo stayed silent for quite some time on their trek
through the tunnel. Neither of them wanted to talk about current events, for obvious reasons.
Remington had to cover his own ears, but he was able to stay focused enough to shoot a Flamethrower at Heatran. It had no affect on him, but it made Heatran stop Uproar and turn his attention to Remington, at whom he launched another Heat Wave.
“Oh god...Flash Fire...” Remington said. He jumped out of the way, and followed up with another Tackle. When he came in contact, he grabbed onto Heatran with one hand and used Metronome with with the other. The attack he got ended up being Fury Swipes, which unfortunately were weak against Heatran. Remington used the move anyway, but Heatran responded with a Lava Plume that damaged Remington and made him lose his grip, sending him flying up with the lava.
Aquo noticed and grabbed Remington out of the air before he crashed into the ground. He set him down and charged at Heatran again with Aqua Jet. Before his attack was able to succeed, however, Heatran threw him off with another Uproar, which made Aquo’s attack dissipate. The only other thing Aquo could think to do then was cover his ears. “This is not going well.” Aquo thought.
Remington covered his ears again and groaned in pain. He quickly gathered his will and stood up. “Enough!” He yelled. With his ears still covered, he charged at Heatran with Tackle. He ran around to his side and attacked him right in the side of the head, halting the noise.
Heatran took a few steps back from the surprise attack, but quickly recovered. “You’ll pay for that!” he yelled before blasting another Heat Wave at Remington. Remington stood his ground and took the attack head-on, taking the opportunity to use Metronome again.
When Heatran finished his attack, he saw that his attacker was charging right at him. He panicked when he realized that what move the Munchlax was using, and he wasn’t able to avoid the Submission.
Aquo watched in impression as Remington beat down Heatran with Submission, but regained his focus and joined in on the assault with Water Pulse, which he shot repeatedly at the fire type.
Both of them could tell that Heatran’s strength was starting to wane. Remington’s attack wore off, however, and he had to get away from Heatran. As he did, he made a horrible realization: Submission causes recoil damage. As this dawned on him, a sharp pain erupted from his entire body, effectively leaving him weak.
Aquo saw this problem unfold and hesitated his next shot at Heatran. This gave Heatran just enough time to recover enough to attack with Uproar again, sounding off the deafening noise that made Aquo cover his ears again.
Remington covered his own ears from the attack. “I hope things are at least going well for Pyren.” he thought.

Any Pokemon other than ones resistant to it would have been taken out right away, but Remington and Aquo had the stamina to survive it.
When the attack dithered, they saw who had attacked them. “Heatran!” Remington yelled. He instinctively brought out Psychic before remembering what Amelia had told him earlier. He silently cursed and charged forward with Tackle instead.
“You will fall!” The Heatran yelled before unleashing a Lava Plume. Remington realized too late that he was going to end up in the lava, and got blasted and burned as a result. Heatran gave a roar and then blasted Remington with Earth Power.“Remington!” Aquo yelled. He turned to Heatran and charged right at him with Aqua Jet. When he made contact, he quickly jumped off and followed up with Water Pulse. Finally, he shot a Sonicboom and finished up his onslaught with Hidden Power. Heatran collapsed on the ground, and Aquo backed away, confident that his assault had been enough to defeat Heatran.
Heatran got back up, however, and yelled out with a furious Uproar. Aquo immediately covered his ears from the noise and yelled in agony. Heatran approached Aquo slowly and kept up his act. “That noise is maddening!” Aquo thought through the ear-piercing pain.Remington had to cover his own ears, but he was able to stay focused enough to shoot a Flamethrower at Heatran. DAVID'S PERSPECTIVE
I stretched as I woke up, not wanting to move too much from my comfortable position on the floor. Why the floor, you ask? Well, I find it much more comfortable than the bed. It's much easier to sleep on and I don't have to worry about hitting the wall when I curl up. I'm David, by the way, and I am probably by far the weirdest person you will ever meet.
